What’s your name and how long have you been a client of MDM

My name is Anne Rimmer. I’ve been a client of MDM Wealth for about seven or eight years, and Daniel Martin looks after me. 

Why did you get in touch with MDM Wealth?

When I first started talking to Daniel, I was in a position where I didn’t know what I didn’t know. I was looking primarily for information about what choices might be available to me that I hadn’t previously thought about to plan for my retirement. 

How did you find MDM Wealth?

I heard about MDM Wealth through a colleague at work. I was overhearing conversations in the office from colleagues who were progressing different things with their pensions, and that pricked my interest a little bit. When I started talking to them, they recommended MDM Wealth. 

Why did you choose to work with MDM Wealth?

I chose MDM Wealth and Daniel, and I’m going to continue to stay with them because they’re trustworthy. I believe in the advice that they’re giving me, and the way in which my financial plan is working gives me confidence about my future. 

Over the years, what sorts of things has Daniel helped you with?

I’ve retired early – three years earlier than I expected to. That was three years ago, and that decision was made possible because of the planning I’d done up to that point with Daniel and with MDM Wealth. When an opportunity came up for me to finish work earlier than I’d expected, I was able to take that opportunity because of the financial security that I’d built up through MDM Wealth. 

What’s the best thing about working with MDM Wealth?

The best thing about working with Daniel and MDM Wealth is the opportunity to spend time thinking about my financial future – challenging my thinking in a way that I wouldn’t otherwise do – to ensure that I make good and sound decisions with his support. 

What’s the best piece of advice Daniel has ever given you?

In the time I’ve worked with Daniel, one of the best pieces of advice he’s been able to give me is to think differently about my financial future, about the things that I might want to do now whilst I’m in the start of retirement versus the needs that I might have later on, and to be able to therefore build in flexibility into my plan. 

How do you feel about your financial future due to working with Daniel?

Working with Daniel at MDM Wealth gives me confidence about my financial future. I really enjoy our discussions, our annual review meetings and any other discussions we have. They’re never just about the numbers, which is something that I really like. I didn’t necessarily expect it, but now I know that that’s the way to approach things, it’s really helpful. 

Would you recommend MDM Wealth to others, and why?

I would definitely recommend Daniel and MDM Wealth. I have recommended them to two or three ex-colleagues and also a friend recently, and the reason I recommend Daniel is because I trust him. I trust the firm, and I’m really, really comfortable and happy with the advice they’ve given me.
