What are your names and how long have you been clients of MDM Wealth?

Trevor

Hi, I’m Trevor. This is Laura, my wife. We’re clients of MDM Wealth, and we’re looked after there by Dan.

Why did you get in touch with MDM Wealth?

Laura

We first contacted MDM Wealth because we were looking for some help with retirement planning for Trevor and really to work out whether we had made appropriate investments that would allow for him to retire on the timescale that we were looking for.

What concerns or goals did you want help with?

Trevor

I think some of the concerns we had was to how to best manage a portfolio of pensions and savings and the like, with the idea that we’re trying to maintain a good standard of living going forward in the future.

How did you find MDM Wealth?

Laura

I started looking for financial advice, mainly on social media and local Facebook groups. Dan at MDM Wealth was highly recommended across a number of different groups, so I felt fairly confident approaching him in the first instance for advice. 

Why did you choose to work with MDM Wealth?

Laura

When we met Dan, we had a discovery meeting with him. He was very genuine, very empathetic and he really listened to our concerns and what our goals were. So, we felt that what he was offering us was highly personal and taking into account all of our needs and wishes, really.

How does it make you feel to be working with Daniel?

Trevor

Working with Dan has been a very positive experience for us, and me particularly. I feel quite reassured, supported and well advised. I understand things now better than I perhaps did in the past. I think he’s given that level of support that’s valuable, and I expect it’ll continue on. 

How do you feel about your financial future due to working with Daniel?

Laura

Working with Dan at MDM Wealth has given me much more insight into my financial future. I have much greater understanding about decisions that I make now and how they are going to influence and impact our future financial wellbeing.

What’s the best thing about working with Daniel? 

Trevor

I think one of the best things about working with Dan is that he gives a sense of reassurance of the way we’re going and clarity around that. There’s lots of complexity around finances and the management of that, and I think he does that really well.

What three words would you use to describe Daniel?

 Laura

I would describe Dan as being kind, thoughtful, and compassionate.

What’s the best piece of advice Daniel has ever given you?

Trevor

I think some of the best advice that I’ve had from Dan is in the sense of levelling things, and don’t panic. He will take the data, and he’ll demonstrate that in a number of ways. Clearly and simply, for the sake of us not being from a financial background, he makes sense of it, and that, to me, is the most useful thing.

Would you recommend MDM Wealth to others, and why? 

Laura

I would recommend Dan and MDM Wealth if you’re looking for a really human financial adviser who is gifted at explaining things in layman’s terms. You’re fully involved in the decision-making process, you’re working with him. I have already recommended him to people that I know, and I’d continue to do so.
